From 2016 to 2023, we published an extraordinary range of China-focused articles, podcasts, interviews, and videos. Here are a few highlights.

From 2016 to 2023, The China Project published about 30,000 in-depth reported stories, daily newsletters, podcasts, and videos by more than 400 contributors. The site covered a range of subjects unrivaled by any other media organization, ranging from Xi Jinping, to business, artificial intelligence and semiconductors, from youth and internet culture to feminism, and from Chinaโ€™s ties to countries like Pakistan, Indonesia, and Israel, to U.S.-China relations.ย 

Regular columns and features included This Week in Chinaโ€™s History by James Carter, Kaiser Kuoโ€™s Sinica Podcast, Paul Frenchโ€™s Ultimate China Bookshelf, a series of Q&A interviews called Invited to Tea by Jeremy Goldkorn, Window on Xinjiang by Darren Byler, Uyghur Bulletin by Ruth Ingram, China Ties by Alex Colville and Chinaโ€™s World by Duncan Bartlett which covered Chinaโ€™s relationships with big and small countries around the world, Queer China by Nathan Wei, Phrase of the Week by Andrew Methven, China Book Chats by Christopher Marquis, and China and the Town by Laurel Schwartz.ย
